WOMEN STANDING IN A RELATIONSHIP “GENDER EQUALITY”

Holy Land Man defines these passages by loving the husband with “acceptance.” Accepting him as a person that is given by God and with your choice to be with him by eternally loving till death do part.

Part 7/8 How And Why GOD Created The Woman?

Note that all general claims and observations by Holy Land Man refer to the vast majority of 70-90% and never to the 100% and so the assertion that “women are…” never refers to 100% but to 70-90%.

Holy Land Man thinks that the Bible contains many principles and regulations, concerning behavior, and mostly these apply to everyone in the community of God’s people, to men and to women.

Nevertheless, various passages assume that there are some roles or activities for men that differ to those of women.

Gender Roles in Marriage

The general notion to this idea is that:

  • Husbands (and men in general) are to be leaders, and that wives (and women in general) are to be submissive followers. They believe that men have a greater authority and responsibility than women in the home and in society. They even believe that men have authority over women

When Queen Vashti refuses her husband’s request to parade her beauty before a party of drunken men, her husband Xerxes is offended. So he makes a decree that is sent to all the provinces in his vast realm.

“Each husband should rule over his own house” (Esther 1:22).

  1. Helping the Husband

We are all taught to be helping one another:

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

But the Bible made a special emphasis on this responsibility for wives to be in constant attendant to the need of the husband:

“The Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” (Gen. 2:18).

  1. Respecting the Husband

According to our Minister, Don Karl Juravin, the Hebrew word for respect or honor (כבוד) means to treat someone with great attention and not to take it lightly. In respecting your husband, you reverence him, notice him, regard him, honor him, praise him, and esteem him. In doing so will value his opinion, admiring his wisdom and character, appreciating his commitment to you, and considering his needs and values.

“However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” (Ephesians 5:33)

The husband has many needs, the idea of the husband as “superman” that is self-contained, independent, and invulnerable is a myth

Major things men needed the most:

  • To be listened to
  • Companionship
  • To be needed
  1. Loving the Husband

Women have a responsibility “to love their husbands”:

“Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children” (Titus 2:4)

Holy Land Man defines these passages by loving the husband with “acceptance.” Accepting him as a person that is given by God and with your choice to be with him by eternally loving till death do part. In other words, accept your husband just as he is an imperfect person.

Love has to be unconditional and mutually fulfilling one another, together in unity:

“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” (Colossians 3:14)

Understanding that by loving is not being selfish, we have to look at love from their perspective, not just our own.
