72. SCIENTISTS ARE STUCK OR CONFINED
The problem is, at this point, scientists are so engrossed in their scientific game that they are unwilling to hear about anything metaphysical or supernatural not only as an explanation at the micro-level for some natural phenomenon but also at the macro level, as an explanation for the existence of the universe and the laws of nature in general.
71. CAN SCIENCE EXPLAIN EVERYTHING WITHOUT SUPERNATURAL FACTORS?
And at the macro level, even if we assume that science is able to give natural and plausible explanations for all the phenomena in the natural world, without needing any supernatural factors at all, the question still remains: Is this the final explanation?
70. IS THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION THE ONLY EXPLANATION?
Scientists zealously defend the theory of evolution, in a way that gives the impression that it is the only possible explanation for the existence of life. But this of course is not true; it may be the only natural explanation (again, assuming it is indeed a successful explanation), but definitely not the only explanation.
69. GOING BEYOND THE SCIENTIFIC “GAME”
As a result of this “game,” scientists train themselves not to see GOD and the supernatural and to consistently ignore any phenomenon that might hint at their presence. Is there a universe? This is the big bang. Is there life? This is a biological genesis.
68. CAN WE EXPLAIN NATURAL REALITY WITHOUT SUPERNATURAL BEINGS?
In fact, the natural sciences play a game similar to the well-known game “yes, no, black and white.” The game of science is: “Let us try to explain all natural reality, without mentioning any supernatural being.”
67. SPIRITUALITY AND GOD ARE OUTSIDE THE REALM OF THE NATURAL SCIENCES
And just as there are limitations of every branch of science in relation to others, the same is true for the whole of the natural sciences in relation to that which is beyond nature. GOD, angels, higher worlds, souls, spiritual forces, demons, magic, all of these are, by definition, outside the realm of the natural sciences.
66. THE SCIENTIFIC OMISSION OF THE SUPERNATURAL
Determining what scientists believe is difficult because, well, this is difficult to find out. One first needs to determine who is a scientist, to what degree, in what fields, in which countries, in what times. In reality, scientists are no more qualified to pass judgement on the existence of GOD than football players.
65. IS SCIENCE REALLY OBJECTIVE?
Indeed, the enormous importance of scientific research, and its great contribution to the advancement of human knowledge, should not be underestimated.
SCIENTISTS AND RELIGION – SO MUCH IN COMMON
Studies show that “science” and “scientists” make anything associated with them credible. In Western society, science is now considered the supreme source of authority when it comes to knowing reality.
64. SO HOW ABOUT GOD AS AN EXPLANATION?
The conclusion, then, is that the existence of the world is a phenomenon that requires explanation, and the explanation for the existence of the world is the existence of GOD, just as the explanation for the fall of apples is gravity.
